Driven by purpose,
rooted in community
We believe that real, lasting change happens when we empower individuals at the grassroots level to take charge of their environment and education.
How it all
began
In 2020, amidst a rapidly changing world, Koru Foundation was established in Jamshedpur with a very simple observation: systemic problems require grassroots solutions.
What started as a small initiative to manage local waste sustainably quickly evolved into a multifaceted NGO. We realized that waste management, education, and menstrual health are deeply interconnected.
Today, Koru Foundation is a registered non-profit working across India. The "Koru" (a Maori symbol of a spiral) represents unfurling fern frondsβsymbolizing new life, growth, strength, and peace. This philosophy guides everything we do
